George Shea

Freelance Photojournalist

Biography

My name is George Shea and I have been a freelance photographer and photojournalist for the past 3 years, beginning as a non profit event photographer while pursuing my education in photojournalism. As my true passion lies in taking photos of people, I transitioned into corporate photography.

If you specified that you need a photographer with current knowledge of the latest photographic trends and technology, I think I may be that person. I have learned the latest photographic technologies, ranging from traditional darkroom techniques to using Lightroom, Landscape Pro, and other software for the enhancement of digital photographs. I also attend random workshops to keep up with the latest trends.

I do not have a bachelor’s degree. In fact, I have never went to college, but as passionate as I was about photography, I mostly learned by just taking and analyzing photos without lots of knowledge from the books. I also learned by award winning professional photographers. The self-learning and exploring method still makes it just more interesting for me.

“The long story short is that I’m just a guy lucky enough to pick up a camera. How that went down was quite a tale, and the fact that I get to do what I love every day is something that I’ll always cherish and be forever grateful for.”

I believe my experience and up-to-date skills make me an ideal candidate for an entry level staff photographer position. Please reach out to me if I am a perfect match!
